Musicians Publications presents George Gershwin s Swanee arranged for flexible woodwind trio by Bill Holcombe. This arrangement includes a plethora of woodwind parts that are interchangeable depending on the instrumentation available. The score is divided into 3 voices, with the lowest voice in both bass and treble clef. Voice 1 parts include flute, oboe, and clarinet; upper voice 2 parts include flute, oboe, and B-flat clarinet; and voice 3 parts include clarinet, bass clarinet, or bassoon. The many different options in performance make this the perfect medley for a gigging group!
George Gershwin was born in Brooklyn in September, 1898. By age 15, he was working as a Tin Pan Alley 'song plugger. His first hit, Swanee was popularized by Al Jolson in 1919, and before long, Tin Pan Alley lay at Gershwin's feet. Broadway soon followed, as with his older brother Ira he wrote one musical hit after another, including Lady Be Good' (1924), Oh Kay! (1926), 'Funny Face' (1927), Strike Up The Band (1927 & 1930), Girl Crazy' (1930), and Of Thee I Sing (1931) -- the first musical to win a Pulitzer Prize.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
