In the musical world, the sounds of the flute and those of the majority of percussion instruments are not the closest of kin. Despite this difference in sonic quality (or more likely because of it), numerous interesting and effective compositions have been written for this combination. Analogies are often helpful in relaying the characteristics of a piece and, to that end, the following narrative offers a more human interpretation to the sounds of the work.
An unexpected encounter brings two dissimilar spirits together for the first time. The initial lack of semblance gives way to the discovery of things in common. The newly found attraction brings on a peaceful, somewhat hypnotic state that seemingly shows no sign of conflict.
Although the relationship remains congenial and supportive, such fleeting idealism eventually gives way to the complications and unevenness of everyday existence.

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
