Benjamin Godard was born in Paris in 1849, and studied violin and composition at the Conservatoire de Paris. In 1887 he was appointed a Professor of the same establishment. He composed many pieces, many of which have now fallen into neglect. His Suite de Trois Morceaux is well known by flautists, and his opera Jocelyn still receives occasional performances.
This Aubade was originally written for violin and cello, and is arranged here for flute quartet. In two distinct movements, the first is slow and dreamy whilst the second is more sprightly. All the instruments share the melodies, often swapping roles in the ensemble.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
