These Morceaux were originally written for a string trio of violin, viola and cello. Here, they are arranged for two flutes and alto flute.
The opening Ballade features high, flowing melodies in the first flute supported by the other two instruments. The second movement, Das les bois, has the two flutes working in counterpoint over the bass line. Reve, the third movement, starts with a serene flute tune before a more agitated middle section. The final scherzo is a romp across the full range of the flutes, with lively counterpoint creating interest in both flute parts.
Requiring nimble fingers and accurate articulation (particularly in flute 1) these charming little miniatures are a chance to get more acquainted with the music of a composer who has fallen out of favour.

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
