The composer writes about this piece, "'My Heart' is a collection of three pieces, written for flute and pedal harp. I have loved playing the flute with my dear friend harpist, Karen Almquist, for nearly 3 decades. With these pieces I express our love of all the music we have played over the years, the sound of our two instruments blending together, and the total heart we put into it."
