With her 'Suite' for flute and piano, the young Frenchwoman Clemence de Grandval established herself as a major French composer of the 19th century. As piano and composition student of Frederic Chopin and Camille Saint-Saens, she understood the musical trends of her time and was an active member of the new French school La Societe Nationale de Musique. The Suite for flute and piano is a typical work of French Romanticism. Influences of Chopin's piano music are clearly noticeable especially in the lyrical entry of the piano in the Prelude and in the virtuoso Final. The flute part is musically and technically varied and well-structured. The Romantic expression ranges from the floating Prelude via the lively Scherzo, Menuet and Romanze to the virtuoso Final. A charming recital piece for the advanced flautist and lover of French Romanticism. This new edition is based on the original edition.

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
