Barbara Heller presents Schmetterlinge (Butterflies), a duo for flute and alto flute.
From the composer:
'The following experience formed the musical background for Schmetterlinge. In front of my window I watched two yellow butterflies fluttering from leaf to leaf, buzzing to and fro, separating and coming together again, flying parallel or apart. The short melody in the manner of a popular song at the end may be seen as a singing of the piece with my own musical signature.'
