Lawdon Press presents 'Mountain Songs' for flute choir by Jennifer Higdon.
The composer writes, '"Mountain Songs" is a depiction of the mountains and the life of its inhabitants. After a lively introduction, somewhat in the character of a jug band, there are four movements: "Lazy Laid-Back Afternoon by the Pond", reminiscent of slow summer days spent fishing down at the pond; "Mountain Spirituals", revealing the lively interchange in mountain churches where no hymnal exists, but a caller first sings the phrase which is then taken up by the congregation; "Lament for a Dead Child", mourning the loss of a child--a more common occurrence back up in the mountains where no help may be available; and, "Mountain Air", which depicts the crystal clearness and biting edge of the breezes that blow through the mountains.'

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
