Musicians Publications presents Bill Holcombe's 3/4 Blues for woodwind quintet. Scored for flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon, this arrangement also includes a bass clarinet part to substitute for the bassoon when necessary/desire for performance.
A medium jazz waltz, 3/4 Blues is a beautifully sultry Blues tune that showcases the flutes uniquely clear timbre. This work is intermediate-advanced in difficulty and is accessible for even those uncomfortable with jazz, as each solo is completely written out, with no ad lib or improvisatory sections.
