This variations piece for woodwind quintet is short and sweet, at only 2:15 in duration with a half note = 96 tempo marking. It is easy in difficulty until the penultimate variation which is more intermediate.
Echo Carol is a traditional Christmas Carol which tells the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is sung often by antiphonal choirs to emphasize the echo in the carol, which is also heard here in this arrangement for woodwind quintet.
