Incerti, B :: Grenouilles et moustiques [The Frog and the Mosquito]
Incerti, B
Bruno Incerti presents The Frog and the Mosquito (or Grenouilles et moustiques, or Der Frosch und die Mucke), for flute alone.
Grenouilles et moustiques is one of those small, intriguing pieces - neo-impressionist, though with enough contemporary personality and charm to lend it a sense of new language. On top of that, it's a genuinely delightful, single-movement tone poem that playfully explores the titular material in a way that easily pairs with music both easier and harder - Syrinx on the one side, Image on the other. A vivacious work, one might say.
For the late intermediate player.
