ALRY Publications presents 'Family' by Gay Kahkonen. This piece features a solo flute quartet with flute choir accompaniment.
The composer writes about this piece, 'This charming suite was commissioned by my dear friend, Evonne Henry, and dedicated to her family. Each of five inner movement reflects the relationship between Evonne and her husband, or a special quality of one of their four children. The piece is framed by two additional movements, holding the family together at the center. The work may be performed in its entirety, or any of the inner movements may be performed separately.'
