Kessick, M :: Exotic Perfumes
Marlaena Kessick presents Exotic Perfumes for two flutes - a musical setting of poems by Dorothy Noble. Kessick's particularly lush Italian modern musical language suites the sort of watercolors she paints, equally dependent on melodic motifs and on the textural results of gestures gliding against each other between the two parts. An equally fair assessment might be that this is a 21st-Century example of Impressionism, filtered through some unique harmonic touches.
Duration: 10'40. For advanced players. Single score.
