From the composer:
'The idea to compose this Fantasy for 6 Flutes was born when talking to Sheridon Stokes about composing some music for him featuring the flute as the most prominent instrument. So I came up with the idea of writing a piece for 6 flutes with very independent parts, such that none of the instruments play only a supporting role to the others and also allowing me to use up to 6-part harmony. I wanted the composition to be cheerful and dancing yet also moody and sometimes mysterious. Even though at times it is quite a challenging piece, it should always sound light and flowing.'
