La Berge, A :: revamper
Anne La Berge presents revamper for flute alone, commissioned for the National Flute Association's 1992 High School Soloist Competition.
To ‘vamp’ means to improvise on or repeat musical material for an indeterminate length of time. 'Revamper' describes one who does this over and over. Various extended techniques, such as singing while playing, multiphonics, and harmonics are used throughout the piece.
Duration: 4'50. For the late intermediate to advanced player.
