LeFanu, N :: Rondel
Nicola LeFanu's Rondel for wind quintet was composed in autumn 2016. It lasts ten minutes, and while its sections are clearly delineated, it plays continuously - and approachable. Each player has the chance for a solo; the melodic line of these soliloquies creates the 'rondo' aspect of the piece. In between comes the ensemble music, forming four concerted and contrasting movements.
Duration: 10'. For late intermediate to advanced players. Includes score and parts.
