Jean-Francois Leze presents Swing-lines II, for flute alone. The swing idea Leze transforms throughout the work is presented jerkily as an introduction, quickly blooming into rapidly-spinning lines before returning to the opening idea and smoothly slowing. This leads into the triplet-swung second half, which also employs interjections of jet whistles, pizzicato, and flutter tongue against the moto-perpetuo of the swing idea.
