Lowell Liebermann presents these five pieces selected from his "Album for the Young, Op. 43," transcribed by the composer for flute and piano.
"Album for the Young, Op. 43" is Liebermann's only venture into the realm of pedagogical composition to date. Written in 1993 and published in 1995, it is a collection of eighteen small pieces for young pianists, progressing in difficulty from elementary through late-intermediate levels. This arrangement introduces the young flutist to gentle chromaticism, expanded range, and triple meter rhythms. It is excellent for the student learner.
