The composer writes about this piece, "Traffic Jam" is a fun, lighthearted, descriptive novelty composition that will be used over and over again. The work sets the tone of driving in a congested city with some of the environmental experiences that one encounters as a driver of passenger. There are comments posted in the music to help envision what I had in mind at that particular section of the composition. Since written in the expandable form, the arrangement is useable as a quartet. Part 1 has the option of using a piccolo or C flute. If desired, both instruments can be used at the same time. The option is yours. I am certain directors, musicians, and audiences will find this composition very pleasing as well as an entertaining addition to the flute choir repertoire.
