Spanisch op. 64c | Blues op. 44c

Sharply exposed mood changed give "Spanish" op. 64a for solo violin the stamp. [Here, 64c for flute]. Swinging between deep seriousness and capriccio-like pleasure, between grief and furiously exuberant exuberance. It arises a very intense, and juicy music of expressive power.

Olga Magidenko studied at Moscow Conservatory piano with Lew Wlasenko and composition with Aram Chatchaturjan, and passed both exams with distinction. In 1980, she won the composition competition of the former Soviet republics with her examination paper, her first symphony Ostinato.

The work of Olga Magidenko includes various genres: operas, works for orchestra, symphonies, chamber music, vocal works, works for piano and organ. The composer has lived in Germany since 1994, today she lives in Heidelberg.
