Marshall, J :: Six Nocturnes
Subito Music presents 'Six Nocturnes: Nightpieces on the Phases of the Moon' for two flutes by James Marshall.
These 'Six Nocturnes' were composed in Winter-Spring 1975 at the request of George Hummel and Barbara Leonard. They are succinct pieces in a larger rhythm based on phases of the moon. Several extended techniques, including multiphonics, create timbral nuances that enhance the music.
