McKennon, AE :: Fledgling
Fledgling
McKennon, AE
Fledgling is inspired by a family of Carolina wrens who built a nest above the composer s door. This charming work for flute and piccolo depicts the pure and simple joys of a mother bird teaching her babies to fly and forage with the piccolo and flute chattering and soaring both separately and in tandem. Fledgling is a delight for musicians and bird-watchers alike, equally suitable for students and professionals.
