Catherine McMichael's Catch a Falling Cherub, for expandable flute choir, was written on the initials of the commissioning flute club - C-A-F-C - which becomes the musical foundation for the work and the variations.
Instrumentation: 3 C flutes, alto flute, and bass flute, with optional piccolo, e-flat flute, contralto flute, and contrabass flute parts.
