The first movement is melodic, many-layered and meant to capture a warm personality and vigor. 'Kick Up Your Heels' is the dance movement, full of rhythmic percussive key clicks and fast fingers on quick lines. 'The Guardian' contains many musical quotes from 'The Legend of the Sleeping Bear' and has the nurturing feel of a caring guardian.'
