The composer writes, ''Los Suenos de Mis Abuelos' (The Dreams of My Grandparents) is a tribute to the resilience, love, and sacrifices of my four grandparents -Raul and Isabel (my father's parents), and Maria and Kiko (my mother's parents) - whose lives shaped the opportunities I have today. Forced to leave Cuba during the 1960s and 70s as political exiles, they arrived in the United States seeking a better life. Though their own dreams were often set aside by circumstance, they carried a greater vision: to build a legacy so that their children and grandchildren could pursue the aspirations they themselves could not. [...]Through this music, I honor the legacy my grandparents built- and the responsibility of carrying their dreams forward.'
