Zimmermann presents Nocturnal op. 68 for flute and guitar by Frank Michael. Written in 1994, this contemporary work utilizes extended techniques such as quarter tones, multiphonics, flutter tongue, pizzicato, whistle tones, and voice in the flute part. The guitar part also incorporates unconventional techniques. Inspired by the writers Anais Nin and Henry Miller, this atmospheric and haunting work is suitable for advanced players.
