The composer writes, 'This piece is for any number of flutists. The goal is for players to collectively reach for an expression of multiplicity that will sound like a blur of phased voices overlapping -- what I call 'together/not togetherness.' The outcome will be a joyful noise which requires awareness of others while knowing where you are and pushing through what may sound confusing or uncomfortable.'
