ALRY Publications presents 'Haru no Umi (The Sea in Spring)' by Michio Miyagi, arranged here for three flutes by Sandra Howard.
Composed for the New Year's Imperial Poetry Competition in 1929, this music describes a springtime boat trip. It is a standard and well-known work for the Japanese bamboo flute, or shakuhachi, and the koto, a traditional stringed instrument.
