From the collection of piccoloist, Jean-Louis Beaumadier, Alain Moene’s solo piece for piccolo, titled For Piccolo is advanced and technically challenging. It incorporates harmonics, pitch bending, as well as throat singing extended techniques. The tempo is quite slow, demanding utmost control from the performer. Moene uses the entire range of the piccolo, low D to high C. This piece is an essential addition to any piccoloist that is looking for an advanced and substantial in length solo. Moene is a 20th/21st century French composer.
