Mower, M :: Concerto for Flute & Wind Orchestra
Itchy Fingers Publications presents 'Concerto for Flute & Wind Orchestra' by Mike Mower, presented here for flute and piano reduction.
Mower’s Concerto, in three movements, uses several different flavors within. Big band writing (suitably orchestrated not to overshadow the flute) is paired with jazz, ragtime, latin rhythms and harmonies, a clever 12-tone row snuck within an airforce training chant, and similar ideas to create a virtuosic solo work with engaging musical ideas.
Duration: 20’. For advanced players.
