The three arias in this suite are Papageno's aria, 'I am the Bird Catcher, always merry, always gay', Monostatos's aria, 'All may feel the joys of love', and finally the second aria of the Queen of the Night, 'The revenge of Hell boils in my heart'. These three fell very naturally to the timbre of the flute choir, whether because of the prominent flute parts in the orchestra or, in the case of the Queen of the Night aria, the range of the flute and soprano were equally matched. Each of them can stand alone or be used in a suite. The works in this transcription are taken directly from the score and are faithfully reproduced in this edition.
Instrumentation: Piccolo, 3 flutes, 2 alto flutes, bass flute, contrabass flute.

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
