Music and the Flute
Nyfenger, Thomas
'Nyfenger's book goes right to the head of the list of all writings in flute pedagogy. The topics that he deals with go to the heart of flute-playing and his treatment of these topics is broad yet penetrating. His own discoveries play an important part in this book. Analogies, which are very original, how to make progress, and wit and humor also play important parts. (I confess that I love the chapter heading 'Intonation and Outonation'. There are even more outrageous puns.) Who will benefit from this book? I would say all who love the flute and are interested in finding ways to play better and better. Of course, I include myself in this group.' - Samuel Baron. Spiral bound, 146 pages.
