Gladys Nordenstrom presents the Rondo for flute and piano.
From the composer:
The Rondo's form is A-B-A-C-A-B-A. the middle section (C), an adagio, evolves and develops into being the climactic section of the piece with ABA following in varied condensed statements. the work is expressionist in style, atonal, with the 12 tones always present, but always in different configurations. The piano part is an integral part of the work, more than an accompaniment in the usual sense. The Rondo begins with solo flute and ends with solo piano.'
