Offermans, W :: Drigos Dream to Desert
Drigos Dream to Desert
Offermans, W
Ricardo Drigo was born in 1846 in Padua and died in 1930, also in Pauda, Italy. When examining his Serenade 'Les Millions d'Arlequin' I got the spontaneous desire to bring Drigo out of Padua in a dream, which will lead him to an African desert. In the soberness of the desert, where the feeling of reality is fainting, Drigo is reconsidering his Paduan musical principles. 'Drigo's Dream to Desert' is a general reconsideration, a moment of meditation and a reflection concerning our daily standards of life.
