Leroy Osmon presents Three Poems for Children for mezzo-soprano and wind quartet (flute, bass clarinet, horn, and bassoon). Osmon's blend of wind Americana (Sousa, Copeland, and Foster) is paired with the sounds of Mexican bands and the harmonic complexity of Yucatan classical music. The movements of the Poems - Rain, Children, and The Bug Poem - are in the Osmon style, with an engaging text by Hugh Scott.
Instrumentation: Mezzo-Soprano, Flute, Bass Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon.
