Otaka, A :: Visions d'un jour d'ete
Atsutada Otaka presents Visions d'un jour d'ete ('Visions of a summer day'), two pieces for flute and piano.
From the composer: "The music is constructed by several motives from my former pieces written for the background music of a fairy-tale by Kenji Miyazawa, and includes two parts of fast and slow tempo. Regarding the characterstic pattern of rhythm appearing to the piano in the fast part, it is suggested to imagine a Japanese drum at a village summer-festival."
