Flute Quartet - four concert flutes. Flowing lower parts support two melodic upper parts that float serenely above them, with some almost oriental touches to the harmony. Alternating between D minor and A major, flute 1 soars up to top B-flat while the two lower parts have frequent low Cs and C-sharps.
