Musicians Publications presents Lew Pollack’s That’s A-Plenty arranged for flexible woodwind trio by Bill Holcombe Jr. This particular arrangement includes a plethora of woodwind parts that are interchangeable depending on the instrumentation available. The score is divided into 3 voices, with the lowest voice in both bass and treble clef. Voice 1 parts include flute, oboe, and clarinet; upper voice 2 parts include oboe and clarinet; and voice 3 parts include clarinet, bass clarinet, or bassoon. The many different options in performance make this the perfect medley for a gigging group!
That's a Plenty is a 1914 ragtime piano composition by Lew Pollack. Lyrics by Ray Gilbert (born 1912) were added decades later. A number of popular vocal versions have been recorded, but it is more often performed as an instrumental. The composition started out as a rag but is nowadays played as a part of the Dixieland jazz repertoire. The comedian Jackie Gleason used it in his television shows in the 1950s and 1960s.
