Verne Q Powell's Signature II headjoints are designed directly in response to the high demand for comfortable playing that retains the distinct flexibility, richness, and quick response of the Powell sound. Signature II headjoints are always created with .016" sterling silver tubing, lip plates, and crowns, though flutists also have the option of adding a 14k gold riser.
The Signature II takes the original Powell Signature headjoint one step further, for players that desire even more freedom in sound. Style elements from Powell's Custom headjoints are melded with the original Signature base to create the Signature II and provide an even greater feeling of freedom and richness. This is especially helpful for players who desire the least amount of resistance they can get - with the greatest amount of tonal flexibility - so as to retain that distinct Powell sound.
