Powell - Signature Piccolo (New)
The Verne Q Powell Signature Piccolo is remarkable for its sweet, consistent tone throughout all registers, its responsive articulation, and the relative ease of sound production. Made from grenadilla wood with a sterling silver mechanism, 10k white gold springs, an optional split-E mechanism, and Pisoni Star pads (which include a metal resonator in the center of the pad to enhance sound), the Signature is crafted in the Powell Boston workshop by the same artisans who make the Powell Custom piccolos, which are used by some of the world's top musicians.
The Signature is available with two headjoint options - the Classic cut and the Wave cut. The Classic cut provides the standard piccolo experience, and the Wave cut is designed to lower air resistance and facilitate quicker octave shifts.
