Musicians Publications presents Giacomo Puccini's O Mio Babbino Caro from his famous opera Gianni Schicchi arranged for woodwind quintet by Bill Holcombe and Bill Holcombe Jr.
Gianni Schicchi is a comic opera in one act by Giacomo Puccini composed in 1917-18. Based on an incident mentioned in Dante s Divine Comedy , the work is the third and final installment of Puccini s Ii trittico', three one-act operas with contrasting themes. Though originally written to be presented together, Gianni Schicchi continues to be performed alone or with one or both of the other trittico operas.
The aria O Mio Babbino Caro is one of Puccini s most popular and is considered by some to be one of the greatest arias in opera. Sung by the principal female character Lauretta (soprano), the aria could be characterized as the only moment of genuine emotion and expression in a tale fraught with duplicity and misdirection. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
