The Fluting Stars 1 and Fluting Stars 2 method books for young beginners are integral parts of the Pucihar Flute Method; a flute curriculum and teaching system for young children that develops their music literacy, rhythmic understanding, large and fine motor skills, expressive abilities, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The essence of the Pucihar Flute Method is teaching through musical instructional games and the philosophy that children learn most naturally through play.
Fluting Stars 1 is based on the sound-to-symbol learning philosophy. Building a beautiful flute sound, fundamentals of flute technique, proper body awareness, and understanding music theory are key priorities in this book. The musical content is paced according to young beginner flute students’ learning abilities. You can also customize the Key Leap focus areas to individual students’ needs.
Downloadable accompaniments are available for each of the small pieces in Fluting Stars 1, with directions on how to download contained in each book.
