The Fluting Stars 1 and Fluting Stars 2 method books for young beginners are integral parts of the Pucihar Flute Method; a flute curriculum and teaching system for young children that develops their music literacy, rhythmic understanding, large and fine motor skills, expressive abilities, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The essence of the Pucihar Flute Method is teaching through musical instructional games and the philosophy that children learn most naturally through play.
Through studying Fluting Stars 1, students should have acquired a beautiful flute sound, fundamentals of flute technique, proper body awareness, and a basic understanding of music theory concepts. Fluting Stars 2 expands students’ musical literacy and finger dexterity, offers the tools of musical interpretation, and invites flute students to play in a variety of chamber music groupings.
Downloadable accompaniments are available for each of the small pieces in Fluting Stars 1, with directions on how to download contained in each book.
