Johann Joachim Quantz presents the concerto No. 161, QV5:174, arranged here for solo flute and flute quartet by Robert Rainford.
This Baroque concerto follows the standard movement pattern of the time - a lively first and last movement with a central slow movement. The first and last movements are in broad ritornello form. Entries of the original theme are interspersed with showy passages for the soloist. The central movement is titled 'Arioso', and is more through composed, featuring a singing melodic line that passes through a wide range of moods before coming to a peaceful close. The solo line has been left broadly unchanged in this arrangement, the accompanying flute parts are relatively straight forward but require conviction and neat articulation.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
