ALRY Publications presents 'Metamorphosis Suite' for solo flute (doubling on piccolo and alto flute) by Arturo Rodriguez. In six movements: Birth (C Flute), Reflections (C Flute), Chrysalis (Piccolo), Flight (Piccolo), Resonance (C Flute), and Sleep (Alto Flute).
The composer writes, ''This suite was is a through-composed work about a butterfly's life from birth to eventual death. I wanted to write a piece that could be interpreted in different ways. I wrote this piece because of my fascination with butterflies, believing that the spirits of those who have passed are carried by butterflies.'
