Musicians Publications presents Giaoacchino Rossini s Quartet I for woodwind quartet edited by Bill Holcombe. This edition is scored for flute, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn, but includes substitute parts for bass clarinet and alto saxophone to replace the bassoon and French horn when needed. This work by the famous opera composer is advanced in difficulty.
Gioachino Rossini's chief legacy remains his extraordinary contribution to the operatic repertoire. His comedic masterpieces, including L'Italiana in Algeri, La gazza ladra, and perhaps his most famous work, Il barbiere di Siviglia, are regarded as cornerstones of the genre along with works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giuseppe Verdi.
