Marco Schirripa presents this beautifully lyrical and nostalgic middle section is flanked by two groovy sections in this trio for 2 flutes and marimba. One might even think of this as more of a duo, with the two flutes combining to achieve what is possible on just one marimba.
From the composer:
The idea for the work arose after hearing a beautiful work by my former teacher and mentor, Gordon Stout, which also utilized two flutes with percussion instruments. The three involved instruments do not necessarily function as a trio, but more of a duo, with the two flutes combining to achieve what is possible on just one marimba. The opening and closing sections are meant to be primarily groove-based and dissonant, while the middle section is more lyrical and nostalgic. I composed this piece shortly after graduating from Ithaca College and moving away from a place I called home for five years, and the middle section is intended to represent the feelings associated with such a time. Otherwise, the work carries no programmatic elements and is simply music for the sake of music.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
