Schocker, G :: Odd Bedfellows
Composed for the unusual combination of Flute and Tuba, Odd Bedfellows may also be performed with Bassoon. Movement 1 is titled 'At the Hippo Watering Hole,' and is full of scenic imagery. The beautiful Movement 2 takes place 'Among the Pine Barrens' and features tuneful Tuba writing in its tenor register from middle C up to G. The playful Movement 3 is a game 'In and Out the Window,' leading to Movement 4 'Under the Big Top.'
