Sili, S :: Cantico per un Eroe
Sili, S
Sauro Sili presents Cantico per un Eroe (Song for a Hero), for flute doubling piccolo, two flutes, and alto flute.
In a thickly-orchestrated single movement the Cantico moves through several intriguing, distinct sections; a dark swirling opening, journey music, exultant cries, and cadenza-like flourishes, coming to an end triumphantly - and all in the span of four minutes. Rich Italian harmonies and tonal yet clever quirks bring this miniature tone poem to life.
For advanced players.
