Whippoorwill
Smith, GW
Solos for piccolo with the Native American influence are rare to non-existent. This is what prompted G. Wiley Smith to write this piece for the instrument. Cokpelvpelv, Muscogee Creek word for Whippoorwill, denotes Native American flute style with a beautiful melody and brilliant bird-like sounds.
For piccolo and piano.
